New York Film

‘NEW YORK IS A SUMMER FESTIVAL’ The title of a 16mm black and white film representing one day in New York City in the summer of 1958. A first film, made with two friends. The structure and rhythm reflect the cyclical pace of the city from early morning to rush hour, to gridlock, to escape and evening.

It talks eloquently about the period and the inquisitive camera evidences a curious eye seeking for something, or for everything
